The Challenge

This well established, traditional family run business had been growing steadily for the past 10 years but had never invested in HR. As a result, this 100 person company had made little effort in co-ordinating efforts around recruitment, skills development, knowledge sharing and the basics in relation to policies and procedures. All aspects of HR were paper based and un-coordinated for a business that was spread across 4 sites.

The Solution

We started by conducting an on-site audit of their current process, procedures and policies. This involved reviewing paperwork and interviewing managers and administrators that contributed to the process. The end result was a comprehensive report which was delivered back to the business within seven days. It was clear from this where their HR vulnerabilities lay and how they could best resolve them.

The Result

We supported the business with some of the priorities: updated employment contracts, key policies were introduced and we rolled out a simple, practical people software system to capture and track key personnel data.
