Our core team is made up of specialists and generalists that have backgrounds in student marketing, international search, graduate recruitment, human resources, occupational psychology and employee engagement. In addition, we work with a close-knit group of associates that support us on specific projects.

Katherine - Managing Director

Founder of Futureboard Katherine TravellKatherine set up Futureboard as a graduate business that offered a holistic approach to 'early years' talent attraction, assessment and development. From here the business has evolved into a more far-reaching HR consultancy. Katherine's goal is to continue to work with clients to help them attract and retain talented people.

In her 13 years working in HR she has developed people strategies for some of the world's leading employers including GSK, Cable & Wireless, BT and Associated British Foods.

Katherine spent four years working as Head of Client Services for head-hunting and consulting firm, Moloney Search. In this time she lead domestic and international recruitment campaigns at the graduate, experienced and MBA level for private and public sector organisations. Prior to this, she worked in-house as HR Manager for Business Objects; spent four years building her generalist HR expertise at Weber Shandwick and two years as an HR consultant with Penna Consulting in the 'career transition and outplacement' division.

Katherine read Archaeology at York University and Human Resources Management at Masters Level at North London University. She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development and the European Council for Mentoring & Coaching Council.

Outside of Futureboard, Katherine volunteers as a business mentor via the Park Royal Partnership and tries to keep fit and upright by going to the gym, yoga and practicing Alexander technique.

Michelle - Senior Consultant

Michelle recently joined Futureboard as a Senior Consultant. She joins with 6 years HR experience with a focus on recruitment and selection. Her career aim is to help businesses realise that they are only as good as the people they hire and develop, which means having world class recruitment processes in place.

She trained with an international recruitment consultancy, Now Recruitment, where she established and managed the London branch which became a successful and profitable business unit.

Michelle has led a team of consultants in the successful design of people strategy and the delivery of recruitment assignments for leading construction contractors and developers across the UK. Her in-house experience was with Cornhill Construction Group, where she designed and implemented effective people processes in order to improve business performance.

Michelle has also completed consultancy work to advise a start up international recruitment consultancy, Blake International.

A graduate in Politics from the University of Nottingham; she is currently studying for a post-graduate degree in HR and Organisational Analysis.

Outside Futureboard Michelle is a keen runner and an avid supporter of the humble Gin & Tonic!

Sarah - Senior Consultant

Sarah joined Futureboard in January 2009 and has worked as a Senior Consultant on a number of graduate selection and assessment projects. Sarah has managed graduate campaigns for a variety of organisations from the initial project set-up, campaign design, application tracking and management, assessment design, delivery through to project evaluation.

Prior to Futureboard, Sarah worked for graduate head-hunting firm, Moloney Search Campus for three years where she developed in-depth knowledge of the graduate market-place. Here she worked with organisations such as Associated British Foods, English Partnerships, Avis, Standard Bank, BT and Kaupthing.

Outside of Futureboard, Sarah volunteers for a charity, reads, enjoys theatre, opera and buying beauty products.

Claire - Senior Consultant

Claire is a Senior Consultant at Futureboard; she works in both Graduate recruitment and HR consultancy teams. She has worked with the business for 2 years managing clients across the marketing services, financial services, retail and charity sectors.

Claire has over 10 years experience in account management, recruitment, in-house head-hunting, human resources and learning and development. Prior to Futureboard, she worked for marketing agency, Freedman International for 8 years in both the UK and US. During this time she developed an international intern programme, graduate development scheme and devised a talent management strategy for the business.

She is a Modern Languages graduate from Queen Mary University but has continued her professional development by doing courses in project management, interview skills, presentation training and emotional intelligence.

Outside Futureboard Claire enjoys running, travel and looking after her 2 young children.

Rowen - Consultant

Rowen is a Consultant at Futureboard, she joined the company over three years ago and has worked with both FTSE 100 companies (BT, ABF and BP) and SMEs (Freedman International and Last Word Media) in this time.

Prior to Futureboard, Rowen spent 2 years working for a company that specialised in temporary recruitment within the events and entertainment industry.

Aside from working on specific client projects, Rowen is focussed on building relationships with students across a broad spectrum of institutions across Europe. In the past year she has co-ordinated in excess of 30 workshops with clubs and societies across 4 different countries.

She's also our in-house psychometric testing (Level A and B trained) guru and as a result advises clients on which psychometrics to incorporate into their processes and candidates on how to prepare for them.

Rowen read Anthropology at UCL and has a Masters in Medical Anthropology from Brunel University.

Outside of Futureboard, she walks or runs just about everywhere , is an avid eater of lollipops and all-round bargain hunter.

Lottie - Researcher

Lottie is a Researcher within the Graduate search and selection team. She is responsible for developing our campus networks, particularly amongst student groups. She uses head-hunting techniques to identify individuals in positions of responsibility that demonstrate leadership capability. After identifying 'talent', she then matches them to the right opportunity and manages them through a given selection process.

In addition, Lottie manages the co-ordination and management of skills workshops, careers presentations, webinars and club networking sessions to be held at top European universities.

Before joining the team, Lottie worked at Christie's the international Fine Art Auction House for two years and experienced the demanding world of a commercial international business focusing on delivering exceptional levels of client service.

She is a Fine Art graduate from Oxford Brookes University.

Lottie knows more about tea and healthy snacks than anybody else in the team. She is a keen photographer and can be found whipping up Jamie Oliver style cooking in her free time.

Will - Researcher

Will joined Futureboard as a Research Consultant in early 2010 as his first career move into recruitment. Since joining, he has worked on graduate campaigns in a number of sectors, including financial services, information management, retail and insurance.

Prior to Futureboard, Will completed a successful stint selling luxury makeover and pampering sessions before realising that he wanted a more corporate career.

Will can regularly be seen engaged in deep thought having read Philosophy at The University of Nottingham.

Outside of Futureboard Will enjoys staying active through training in the gym and trying to replicate his footballing heroes, regularly playing 7-a-side football throughout the week.

Sevda - Researcher

Sevda works within the graduate search and selection team as a Researcher. She uses her language skills to good affect by driving candidate attraction from top business schools and universities across Europe, frequently finding fantastic candidates for some of our international clients. Her sector experience includes FMCG, retail, FS, oil and gas, consultancy and marketing services.

In addition, she has responsibility for organising internal training and development.

A graduate also, Sevda completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Sofia, Bulgaria and a did a MA in Social Policy at the University of Athens. She speaks fluent English, Russian, Bulgarian and French.

Outside of work, Sevda enjoys bikram yoga, cooking, art and going to gigs.

Matt - Non Executive Director

Matt is a Non Executive Director to Futureboard. He took up this appointment in January 2008 and advises on a variety of subjects from business development, international campaign management, recruitment communications, HR PR, employer branding and utilising social media.

Matt is the Co-European Managing Director of public relations consultancy GolinHarris, where he recently won International PR Agency of the Year in recognition of their success and growth over the past three years. Golin Harris works for clients such as Nokia, Orange, Unilever and Wrigley's.

Prior to Golin Harris, Matt worked for 8 years for GH's sister agency Weber Shandwick. He is an excellent example of someone that joined an organisation as a graduate trainee and worked his way up to a board level role.

In 2008 Matt was also appointed the youngest board member of the Public Relations Consultancy Association. He is passionate about spotting bright, driven graduates and training them up to be his future leaders.

His interests include collecting 1st edition Ian Fleming and John Le Carre novels and listening to Tony Bennett and The Killers whilst sipping a glass of Bordeaux from his favourite client, Berry Brothers & Rudd.
